The study of  Tagore’s work engages students in a wide range of activities and curriculum areas from the arts to language and science.  The suggested learning activities contained in the unit meet a wide range of overall and specific curriculum expectations. Learning Activities based on specific pieces of  Tagore’s work

This section  presence learning activities designed around a single piece  (poem or short story) selected from  Tagore’s writings. The activities are developed based on an interdisciplinary teaching approach.  We have chosen texts appropriate for various grade levels. You may wish to use these lessons as examples on how to develop the study of other works by Tagore based on the needs of your own students.   • Sep 25, 2012 'Walking Alone: Justice and Inequality in Tagore's thought', talk by Ananya Mukherjee-Reed at Princeton University, USA.

  • May 4, 2012 Soul of Spring,McMichael Art Gallery, Kleinburg, Ontario. A medley of music, dance and poetry based on Tagore's play. It was performed during an exhibition of Tagore's paintings 'The Last Harvest' at the gallery.
